Pick a t-shirt, pick a cassette, dust off your hands, and be on your way. No problem!
But wait. Wait, wait, wait…
Which t-shirt?! (There are two…) Which cassette (There are five…!!)
Okay, easy… EEEEEASY, friend. Have a seat, and allow us to explain the facts of life.
First of all, your mom didn’t want you. Not really; not at first. Now, this is hard to hear, but hear it you should: Your mother did not want to have a child when she got pregnant. Not at first. See? But as the months went by, and her belly grew, something crept in that began to edge out the despair…
Anticipation. Nervousness, sure, but something else, too… hope. Didn’t know where it had come from, your mom — this hopeful anticipation — but there it was, and more and more it was primarily how she felt about things. More and more, until the day you were finally born, and on THAT day… Well!
The second thing to know, when it comes to your life, is that there are two t-shirt colors: black and white, and their designs are different colors, too: pink and green. And so you should choose whichever you prefer, color-wise. (They both have two arm-holes, a place for the head, all that.)
The third thing is maybe not so obvious, but it’s just as important as the first two: You are, at your heart, a very cruel person. You hide it well, sure. But deep inside, where others feel almost daily pangs of compassion, just from reading a newspaper, you are cold. It is what it is.
Just know this: Each of the five cassette colors offers the entirety of “Huffy” on Side A, and its own special collection of additional material on the flip-side — a selection pulled from the tape-only demos, acoustic versions, commentary, sketches, and recorded boasts.
Five cassettes — five different experiences. Like a microcosm of life itself, in fact.
Exclusively for pre-orders, we’ll include a transparent sticker that we’ve autographed with a permanent marker. Place it on your cassette artwork wherever your heart tells you to.
